"People often ask me where I come up with my ideas. Inspiration is never an issue. Like many artists, I am an observer of the world. My work reflects my personality and changes theme, often with the seasons of my life. My goal is not to create a great work of art. My goal is to make a connection with the viewer or reader. I want them to respond, relate or reflect on some level."
"I was born to parents with very differing, yet strong religious beliefs; and raised in a household filled with music, laughter and many life lessons. My work parallels my life, and I am more often than not, inspired by my students. Art is my way of cleansing the soul. Many people wear their heart on their sleeve. I wear my heart on my canvas and in the pages of my manuscripts. I hope you enjoy the journey as much as I have."
